Cobia

The cobia is a species of carangiform marine fish, the only extant representative of the genus Rachycentron and the family Rachycentridae.

Local Names: Dalag dagat, Balisukan, Pandawan, Sakalan itang, Tangiging-batang.

​

Cobia are a coastal pelagic species that typically stick to nearshore waters 50-200 ft. deep, and often in even shallower right up close to shore and harbor entrances.
