Green Jobfish

The green jobfish (Aprion virescens) of phylum Chordata, order Actinopterygii, and subfamily Etelinae, is a species of marine ray-finned fish. They are greenish to grayish-blue in color and have diamond-shaped scales on their body.

Distributed across the Indo-Pacific, including southern Japan. It is green and identified by its short pectoral fins and the furrow in front of its eyes. This is a common edible species found on coral reefs from near the surface to 150 meters. It reaches 70 cm in length.
